Brussels was introduced to contemporary Polish plays
presented at four performative readings. This original
project commissioned translations to both professional
translators and Polish and Belgian playwrights and
dramaturges. Each of the four project partners (Théâtre de
la Place, Théâtre Varia, Théâtre de l’Ancre and La Bellone,
Maison du Spectacle) arranged one of the readings.
In addition, La Bellone held a presentation of the most
important themes of new Polish plays and playwrights as
well as productions based on contemporary Polish plays.
The project curators were Antoine Pickels and Szymon
Wróblewski.
