The NordicBaltic Festival Platform (NBFP) has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the annual Nordic-Baltic Arts Festival Conference 2019. The 2-day event will take place on Thu-Fri, 7-8 November 2019 in Liepāja, Latvia; be hosted by Liepāja Concert Hall Great Amber and its CEO Timurs Tomsons.
See the invitation here.
The Conference aims to bring together managers and artistic directors of festivals from all fields of art and culture to exchange ideas and best practices, make new connections and explore various possibilities for cooperation, and to visit some great performances in Liepāja. The NBFP conference is the place for promoting artistic collaboration and exchange in the region as well as sharing knowledge and experiences.
This year's theme is “HOW TO MAKE YOUR FESTIVAL BETTER”. Day 1 is titled “OPEN UP! Inclusive” and Day 2: “LEVEL UP! Exclusive”. You will have the chance to listen to two great keynotes by Jenny Sealey (MBE CEO / Artistic Director of the Graeae Theatre Company, UK) and Jonathan Holloway (festival director, chief executive, educator and cultural leader, originally from the UK). They will be accompanied in panels, workshops and other sessions by speakers including Agata Etmanowicz (PL), Mocci Ryen (NO), Ilgiz Yanbukhtin (RU), Andrew Doe (UK), Paul Gudgin (UK), Rasmus Adrian (DK), Lousie Lindén (SE), Alina Minkova (SE), Vigdís Jakobsdóttir (IS) and others.
