Dariusz Sobkowicz

Dariusz Sobkiewicz is a culture manager, university lecturer, journalist, and a civil servant and holds a degree in Natural Philosophy. Since 2008, he has been the deputy director of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. He began his career in public administration in 1993, when he became Deputy Director of the Department of Cultural Promotion at the Ministry of Culture and Art and, later, specialized in cultural management. He was twice the director of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the first deputy director of the Polish National Opera, and Deputy Director at the Wilanów Palace Museum. He was awarded the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture "Gloria Artis".
