On 13 September 2025, the Golden Thread Gallery in Belfast will open the exhibition “Radical Hope”, featuring works by Hubert Czerepok, Zhanna Kadyrova, Diana Lelonek, Lada Nakonechna, Marina Naprushkina, Konrad Smoleński, and Piotr Uklański exploring whether art can serve as a guide in uncertain times. The exhibition is part of the ongoing UK/Poland Season 2025.
Visual artist and potter Alicja Patanowska, together with prominent contemporary Polish poster creators Ola Jasionowska, Patrycja Longawa, Kaja Renkas, and Maja Wolna, will present their works at the Victoria and Albert Museum – the world’s largest museum of applied art, craft, and design. The ceramic installation and overview of the contemporary Polish poster scene will be on display from 13 September 2025.
The 78th edition of the Edinburgh International Festival – one of the UK’s most prestigious and longest-running festivals – will start on August 1, 2025. This year’s programme, under the theme “The Truth We Seek”, for the first time in the festival’s history will feature Focus on Poland – a unique section dedicated to Polish music.
Between January and June 2025, in the period in which Poland held Presidency of the Council of the European Union, over 200 events took place in 30 European countries, with the participation of over 1,200 artists from Poland and abroad.

The international cultural programme of the Polish Presidency will culminate in a closing gala held on June 24 at Flagey in Brussels. The highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of Unity, a composition written especially for the occasion by Aleksander Dębicz, one of the most versatile Polish pianists and composers of the young generation.
Starting June 15 in Osaka, visitors will be able to see exhibition by one of the most recognised Japanese artists of young generation, Yuriko Sasaoka, dedicated to the figure of Maria Skłodowska-Curie. The artist presents the scientist not as a monument of science, but as a migrant, mother, social activist, and a researcher demonstrating a modern way of thinking.
The Polish Pavilion at the London Design Biennale 2025 has been awarded the prestigious Theme Medal for Records of Waiting – recognized as the most inspiring interpretation of this year’s Biennale theme. Opening on 5 June, the installation by Jakub Gawkowski, Monika Rosińska and Maciej Siuda transforms the intangible experience of the passing of time into the material substance of a sculpture installation.
From 5 June, the Belfast Photo Festival 2025 will showcase works by Polish artists: Diana Lelonek, Anna Zagrodzka, Karol Szymkowiak, and Dyba & Adam Lach. A series of exhibitions, events, and screenings exploring the evolving landscape of Polish ecology and society will be presented under the title “Metamorphosis”.
