EXPO 2025 – presentation of Polish culture at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai
On 13 April 2025 the World Expo inaugurated in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute is once again involved in the presentation of Polish culture on the global stage by developing the unique programme of accompanying events.
The programme presented during Expo 2025 Osaka will be carried out in collaboration with the Polish Investment & Trade Agency. The Agency is an entity responsible for the official presence of Poland at the event. The theme: “Poland. Heritage that drives the future” will serve as an axis of the narrative about Poland, boasting the legacy of creativity and ability to cope with everyday challenges in the spirit of solidarity.
Cultural events held during Expo 2025 Osaka will showcase Poland as a country of people who are open, curious about the world and full of creative energy. These events will be co-created by both female and male artists, becoming part of the international dialogue and conveying a powerful message about the value and potential of Polish culture.
For six months, from April to October 2025, thanks to AMI’s support, Polish art and inspiration will be showcased in galleries, urban spaces, and music clubs throughout the Kansai region.
