Culture.pl, the world’s premiere online source for Polish culture run by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, is looking for a new associate editor to join its English-language team. 

Primary responsibilities:

● Editing articles & texts in English

● Publishing & improving articles in Culture.pl’s CMS

● Working with the English Section to increase & retain their readership

Requirements:

● Native-grade English skills

● Perfectionist English-writing skills

● An obsessive eye for detail

● Willingness to work closely with other members of the editorial team

● Intermediate Polish skills (i.e. B2) or better

● Experience in translating varied texts from Polish to English

● The ability to work remotely

The ideal candidate would have:

● A passion for promoting Polish culture to an English-language audience

● Experience in different Internet publishing platforms

● The ability to work with authors & give constructive feedback

● Experience of writing for different mediums & clients

● Experience of copywriting & optimising content for online search

● An open disposition, creative outlook & can-do attitude

● An interest and/or background in culture (art, design, literature, etc.)
