On the final day of the Romanian Jazz in the Park 2025 festival in Cluj-Napoca, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy a special concert by the Błoto band. The jazz quartet will perform on the Jam Session stage on 8 June 2025 at 6:00 p.m. The event is part of the programme for the Poland–Romania Cultural Season 2024–2025.

Jazz in the Park 2025 – four stages, three days of jazz interpretations

Jazz in the Park is one of Romania’s most important music festivals, held annually in Cluj-Napoca. It is distinguished by its openness to a wide range of musical genres – from contemporary jazz, funk, and blues, to world music, alternative rock, classical music, trip-hop, and acoustic projects. The festival promotes jazz music among the younger generation and supports artists in their creative development.

Jazz in the Park 2025 will take place between 6 and 8 June 2025 in the “Romulus Vuia” Ethnographic Park in Cluj-Napoca. During its 13th edition, for three days, four stages spread across the Ethnographic Park will be filled with live music, DJ sets, and improvisation. Additionally, one of the stages – Jam Session – will be open every evening from 8:00 p.m. until midnight for festival artists and audience members who wish to join in the collective performance. More information about the programme and tickets for the event are available at jazzinthepark.ro.

Polish jazz quartet to perform in Romania

On the final day of the festival, at 6:00 p.m., the Polish music group Błoto will take to the stage. This jazz quartet blends jazz with hip-hop, funk, and experimental sounds in their compositions. Their music offers raw, organic, and improvisational combinations that have earned them recognition as one of the most intriguing phenomena on the contemporary Polish music scene. The band’s sound – a mixture of heavy beats, deep bass, and untamed energy – is often described as intense, free, and vibrant.

The performance at Jazz in the Park will not mark the end of this Polish-Romanian artistic collaboration. In the autumn of 2025, Błoto will take part in a several-day artistic residency in Cluj-Napoca, resulting in a new composition and a performance during the International Jazz in the Park Competitions. A special music exhibition dedicated to this project is also planned for the autumn.

The concert is part of the Poland–Romania Cultural Season 2024–2025 and reflects the mission of the bilateral programme: to strengthen ties between the two countries through art, music, and meaningful cooperation. The Poland–Romania Cultural Season 2024–2025 is organised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, with the support of the Polish Institute in Bucharest, the Romanian Ministry of Culture, and the Romanian Cultural Institute.
