The international cultural programme of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council, which falls on the first half of 2025, offers a unique opportunity to present the richness of Polish artistic scene to the international audiences. The Adam Mickiewicz Institute has prepared a cultural programme that will serve as a platform for promoting Polish female and male artists. The intention behind the cultural programme of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council is to present projects of top artistic and substantive quality as well as to raise competences in the field of relations based on such priorities as solidarity, community and support for young artists.
Treating the above as points of reference, the Adam Mickiewicz Institute – together with Polish and foreign partners – has prepared a programme with an underlying concept of presenting the diversity and multidisciplinary nature of Polish artistic scene. Between January and June 2025, foreign audiences in 20 countries will have a chance to visit exhibitions, watch theatre plays, choreographies, and film productions, listen to concerts as well as talk to Polish artists during international discussion panels and debates. The cultural programme of the Polish Presidency will also be available online.
Thanks to numerous artistic events and study visits, the programme will provide an opportunity to take a fresh look on European history and identity. It is also a one-of-a-kind chance to build bridges between citizens of different EU Member States.
The international cultural programme of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council will be implemented with emphasis on events taking place in Belgium and in UE candidate countries.
