The Jazztopad Festival will be held for the ninth time in the United States and Canada. The programme includes ten unique concerts from 13 to 20 June 2025. It is organised by the National Forum of Music in cooperation with the Polish Cultural Institute in New York and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
Jazztopad – A Festival of Jazz and Improvised Music
The jazz and improvised music festival will be held in New York for the ninth time. This year’s concerts will showcase projects resulting from collaborations between Polish and American artists. The programme will also feature the world premiere of a specially commissioned work prepared exclusively for Jazztopad.
Jazztopad is a significant event on the map of musical events in the United States, offering audiences a unique musical experience and promoting Polish jazz creativity worldwide. Once again, the festival will host outstanding artists, including the legendary David Murray, Wadada Leo Smith, Midori Takada, as well as performers exploring new directions and forms of expression such as Marta Sánchez, Jakob Bro, and Luke Stewart. Each of these artists represents a distinct world of sound, yet they are united by a shared openness to creative risk and authenticity.
Jazztopad Festival 2025 Programme – New York, United States
From 13 to 18 June 2025, New York City will host concerts at prestigious venues such as the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Rizzoli Bookstore.

- 13 June 2025, 7:30 pm, David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center – Inaugural concert by the duo Michiyo Yagi and Hamid Drake with Wacław Zimpel;
- 14 June 2025, 7:30 pm, David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center – Waclaw Zimpel, Arun Ramamurthy & Brooklyn Raga Massive with special guest Amir ElSaffar;
- 15 June 2025, 4:30 pm, Rizzoli Bookstore – Patricia Brennan and Maciej Obara duo;
- 15 June 2025, 8:00 pm, Barbès – Ned Rothenberg and Satoshi Takeishi with Michiyo Yagi;
- 17 June 2025, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center – Maciej Obara NYC Quartet feat. John Patitucci, Nasheet Waits, Dominik Wania;
- 18 June 2025, 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm, Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center – Immanuel Wilkins & Lutosławski Quartet – world premiere.
Jazztopad Festival 2025 Programme – Vancouver, Canada
After the New York leg, the festival will move to Vancouver, Canada. Two concerts are scheduled to take place at Western Front on 20 June 2025, at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Immanuel Wilkins & Lutosławski Quartet will perform their premiere composition for the audience.
